Facilities and Resources
Heathfield Primary School boasts a number of facilities and resources which enhance student learning. These are a beautiful balance of original school buildings with historic leadlight and modern facilities which foster the use of the latest technology. Wheelchair access has been factored into the development of the learning spaces.
Learning spaces are unique at HPS with all students in the early years and in the senior years enjoying double classrooms and a common wet area. Over recent years, there have been significant upgrades to our facilities, which now complement our well stocked library extension.
With the recent addition of a sizeable covered outdoor learning area with projector screen we host whole-school assemblies year round. This space is also an all-weather basketball court and collaborative learning space where multiple classes come together to learn.
A multi-purpose wet area was developed to facilitate learning in Science, Visual Arts and the Kitchen Garden program. These learning spaces complement the numerous outdoor learning spaces and opportunities presented on our site. We are fortunate to have a large vegetable garden, chooks, amphitheater, frog pond, pine forest and native bush.
